Kids Day
Monday (September 9) was a special holiday here in Costa Rica called the Dia del Niño which means "Kids Day." We decided to do something special. We took our upper-level student to a local kindergarten and they met the kids and gave out candies, etc.. In the evening, I invited a lady named SARITA that is the Recreations Director at the Los Suenos Marriott to come and teach the studets the Salsa, Mareange, etc... We danced for hours and many students told me it was the best time they've had since they've been here. When we've had dances in the past, it turns into a reliving the past experience for them--same music, etc.. My intentions were to change that and introduce them to something more healthy and clean. It worked :)--Joe
